Bob and I would personally like to thank all of you who competed in the 2009 Illinois State IDPA Championship. This was our second attempt at a major match, and learning from last year, we feel, confirmed by your comments and questionnaire responses, that we are getting better.
A few commented that the stages were not overly difficult. Honestly, this was by design. We want all shooters, regardless of their class or how then ended up in the rankings, to say aloud, "That was a fun match."
I hope that you will agree that the stage designs and props were some of the best you have seen at a state-level event.
Finally, I want to thank the Match Staff, as without them, this match, and matches like it, would never happen. Twelve hours on Saturday and another 12 on Sunday is hard on anyone. Having to shooting under such stress is not easy; not at all.
